Biography of Michelle Yap




Michelle Yap is a bold, exciting abstract contemporary artist whose works often embodies her personal values that serves as her inspirations.
Her impeccable skills of combining traditional Chinese ink with modern elements like acrylic and heavy brush strokes is known to be one of her signature styles. Her style is almost like a crash in the ocean, it starts with a hint of intimidation, but if you just breathe through her brushstrokes,
you’ll find a sense of calm and familiarity.

Michelle is a Malaysian graduate of Central St Martins College of Arts London. She is known for her sold out show in The Other Art Fair in New York. She has also been featured on Saatchi Art USA, Singulart France, around Shanghai, Korea, Dubai, Singapore and Malaysia. One of her biggest achievements is the presentation of several pieces to the Royalty of Malaysia, including His Majesty The Yang di-Pertuan Agong and 3 other federal ministers with the series she calls ‘A Blessed Nation.’

She is now the ambassador to Bentley Motors Malaysia featured in Robb Reports.
